Steven Frank

Selling the infrastructure he has spent two decades building.

For more than twenty years, Steven has built the networks and computing that institutions rely on. At SAVRN he leads revenue — turning that deep infrastructure credibility into the relationships and deals that fund what we build.

He has designed and delivered HPC clusters and fiber networks and, as a technology CEO, built compute infrastructure for universities and enterprises. He has launched infrastructure businesses across more than a dozen states, working with established names in energy and telecommunications including a NextEra Energy company and Crown Castle.

He has run 5–225 MW campuses and $300M+ P&L, with deep partnerships across NVIDIA, HPE, and Supermicro. He holds a B.A. in Economics from The University of Texas at Austin.

Steven Frank, Head of SAVRN Revenue at SAVRN

The conversation he brings

Workforce development. Building and running this infrastructure creates skilled jobs — and universities and community colleges can train students to fill them.

Investment in communities. A data center brings years of local investment in energy and facilities; the focus is making that pay off for the surrounding community, not just the project.

Accelerating applied research. When the compute is built nearby, universities get access to the kind of hardware real AI research needs.

He speaks on

  • The data center behind AI
  • AI independence: what it means to own your AI
  • How AI infrastructure gets built, fast
  • The local payoff: jobs and community
  • Nearby compute as applied research
